This scholarship was established by Kiwanis Anacortes Noon Club Foundation.  Kiwanis focus is “Serving the Children of the World”.  The scholarship is to honor the memory of Tom Stowe.  Tom and his wife Pat moved to Anacortes in 1991, having vacationed in the area for many years. As a lifelong member of Kiwanis, and active in a southern California chapter, it was natural that he joined The Kiwanis Club of Anacortes (noon group). Over the next 24 years, he held various leadership positions in the club and the Thrift Shop. One of his contributions to the community was his negotiation of the cell tower leases on Kiwanis property at the top of Mt. Erie.
